All of us girls at GAVIN love The Man Repeller, who strongly lives by the belief that "more is more is more is more."

 So here at GAVIN, we decided to do our own version of The Man Repeller Olympics....... a Layering Mini-Marathon if you will :)

Step 1. Start with the dress

Spring Buy Wrap Ups

Just got back from buying for spring and we had a great crew with us. The mixture of young insouciance and a bit of older mystique made sure that GAVIN had picks that work. As Carine Roitfeld was quoted as saying in the September issue of British Harpers Bazaar, “When you get older, you have to stay a bit rock “n” roll so that young people will still be interested in you.” There’s that and just not looking matronly. The clothes are so cool this season that it would be hard to not look uber chic but I still notice women in that 40 to 60 range that insist on being too tan, with hair and make-up that need updating, or wearing clothes that are ill fitting. Not to say I haven’t been in that category too because we all are bound to make our mistakes. The best way to make your body look great is to walk tall! A big smile, great posture, and confidence are the best tools a woman can use to seduce.

Designer Showcase: Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent is the truest example of form, function and quality fabrication. Its pieces are a full mixture of a boho and a city girl, which is why I tend to find the pieces perfect for my closet. As an aspiring stylist, I always learn a thing or two from the look books they create, so kudos to their stylist. They tend to use the same 5 pieces of jewelry in all 30 of the different looks and it makes me rethink the usage of my jewels. Any hoot, they hit all this seasons hottest trends, per their usual.
